Earth, it is OUR HOME

April 22, 2008

The more research I do into the health and safety of the foods we eat, the more disturbed I am. It seems that there is much that we as consumers are not told outright. The information is out there, one just has to want to know. Quite honestly it was easier not knowing. That being said, the knowing is my responsibility for the health and well being of my family is at stake. I have found that many of the foods on the average grocery list contain genetically engineered ingredients.

The True Food Now Shopping Guide! is a super resource to find out just what foods should not be on your next grocery list. Though the list is a few years old, I certainly found it to be very informative. One can only imagine the dozens of brands and products that have since been introduced into the food market place.

What’s going on ‘behind the label’ of the food on our supermarket shelves in the United States? A secret genetic experiment… and you should know that just because it’s not listed on labels, doesn’t mean it’s not there. So what’s an American consumer to do? Go behind the label!

Tag, we’re IT!

April 10, 2008

From it’s conception in 2005, I have nurtured and given great thought to Stinky Couture™. Every detail from packaging, every stitch, and yes, the tag. The Stinky Couture™ tag is unique in design, cut from vintage denim and individually embroidered with “Stinky Couture”, the tag represents quality. When you see the Stinky Couture™ tag, you know that you have a unique, quality item that was sewn just for your Baby as I would sew it for my Baby.

Stinky Couture™ does not sell “seconds”. The occasional “second” is donated tag-less to a women’s shelter for the benefit of women who want to cloth diaper their babies though do not have the means in which do so.

A baby fed soy will receive, through the phytoestrogens, the equivalent of approximately 5 birth control pills per day! The damage is incalculable.

Marie’s STINKY Fixx™

April 5, 2008

I loved sewing for Marie’s sweet baby Aiden and thought to post a few pics of her STINKY Fixx™. The order was split as two were sent initially for fit approval followed by the ten.

We received so many great pictures! Choosing this month’s winner was not easy as you all have such beautiful babies.

April’s winning photo is of Caden, 3 months, photo taken by his mama Lisa. We got quite a kick out of the photos submitted by Lisa as she submitted several photos showing Caden in a variety of moods. This was our favorite as sweet Caden was trying oh so hard to sit up and show off his Stinky Couture™.
